Shakun Harris is a Mauritius born, U.K based artist. A recipient of India Commonwealth Scholarship, she has a BFA in Applied Art & Design from College of Art, New Delhi (India) and a DEA Pedagogy, Training of Teacher Trainers, from IUFM, France. She also has an MBA in Management and Strategy, an MPhil in Education & Technology from UQAM, Canada, and an Interaction Design, HCI (Human Computer Interaction), from Stanford, USA.
She is part of the exclusive academicians and members of the Royal West of England Academy of Art, U.K.
Although Shakun’s day job is working as a global Communication and knowledge in international development Specialist for the United Nations, she continues to draw, paint, design and hold exhibitions extensively within the UK and elsewhere. Shakun specialises in watercolours and digital media besides being a published author.
The fluidity of colours and the transparent luminosity in her works challenge reality, whilst adding an ethereal beauty to her subject.
